One of the things that we like to do as a family is to get away one weekend every month. If we are driving, we usually have two destinations in mind when leaving Naples, FL.

The first is Disney World. This is about a 3 hour drive for us which usually allows us to watch two movies each way. We recently stayed at the Four Seasons Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort. This property is located with the Disney World properties and is such a fantastic hotel. They are extremely kid friendly and offer many of the items that some of the theme parks offer. They have character breakfasts on Saturday mornings. They also offer their version of the Bippity Boppity Boutique that they have in Magic Kingdom and Disney Springs. This is where you pick your favorite princess and they then give you a makeover to look just like her, even the princess dress is included!

They have great restaurants that offer all different types of food plus they have an ice cream parlor that offers tons of flavors to choose from. Some of the rooms have balconies that overlook both Magic Kingdom and Epcot and you can stand on your balcony and watch the fireworks each night! We love fireworks. They look so pretty at night exploding over Cinderella’s Castle!

Now the best part. They have a huge playground that’s right in the middle of their pool park. This pool park rivals most water parks throughout the country. They have several water slides, a lazy river and a huge family pool. Don’t worry parents, they also have an adults only pool if you feel the need to take a break from us. They have a program called “Kids For All Season” for ages 4 – 12 that goes from 10 am until 6 pm where there’s adult supervision and activities all day for the kids. Excellent if your parents want to use the tennis courts, or golf course, or whatever. They have a lazy river but most fun is they have a huge outdoor tv in the family pool where they show movies in the afternoon and evening. If you’re going to Disney, definitely consider The Four Seasons.

Where we go the most often and it’s only an hour and a half drive is to Miami. We always stay at The Four Seasons Miami in Downtown Brickell . This hotel is so great because they love kids and pets, so we are able to bring Chloe, our bulldog sister, with us every time we go. The staff and guests love seeing Chloe wiggle her bum when she gets there because she knows she’s going to get special treats they give all the pets.

Whenever we check into our room, they always have our names on the mirrors in rainbow colors. They use sticky letters to spell out our names and it makes us feel so special that they take the time to do that. They also leave us little stuffed animals that we are able to take home with us.

They have a huge family pool and hot tub and we spend most of the day in the water. They also have a little kids pool area with mini pool furniture so you can feel like a grown up. Plus they have a shallow water area that has a bunch of hammocks in case you just want to lay around and soak up the sun.

There is a fantastic restaurant in the hotel called Edge Steakhouse. They are very kid friendly in a beautiful setting that has their own kid’s menu. And if you plan on doing Brunch on Sunday, make a reservation ahead of time as this is one of the best brunch’s in all of Florida, if not the world. It’s crazy how much food they have and offer for Brunch. After eating here, it’s easy to see why it’s voted one of the best restaurants in all of Miami.

Also, within walking distance of the hotel are several restaurants and shopping. This location is perfect for the long family vacation as you can hit a different restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner each night with some of the best shopping in the planet only a few blocks away at Brickell City Centre.

Have your parent’s put the Four Seasons Miami on the top of their list for a family vacation. You will absolutely love this property and staff.
